Rich with history, the Global Missions department—while supporting our churches beyond this nation’s borders—continues to provide opportunities to the members of the Illinois State Council. Thus, several trips have clearly outlined its mission, purpose, and sincerity to the Lord’s great commission. “Go ye into all the world…” Positioning the department for today’s national status is largely due to the spirited leadership of Ambassador LaVerne P. Jones. The baton (although passed) rests securely in the hands of new leadership.
