Perhaps the most challenged department of all is the ISSSA. Each year, thousands of churches experience the loss of their Sunday School departments. This “dinosaur” (of sorts) within the context of the Illinois State Council, proudly continues to celebrate through the B.I.B.L.E.—Basic Instruction and Bible Learning Experience.

Today, it stands on the shoulders of Dea. Tommy Jackson (Father of Sunday School) and longest-standing member within the council—this auxiliary has continued the exposure to and learning of scripture and rallies together for state and national conferences.
